Looking Beyond Hospitals & Medical Schools For Neuro Therapy
Problem
The Reality of brain injury survivors is that after 2 1/2 or 3 years of treatment, rehabilitation hospitals tend to begin refusing access to the team of medical & therapy clinicians who help get us through the worst of our condition. After that we’re on our own relying mainly on TBI & PSDT support groups

THE 88 KEYS TO RECOVERY
- Brain-injury survivors have an instant bond, no matter how we acquired our injuries, whether car accident, aneurysm, stroke, the playing fields, the battle-zones, even successful brain surgery.
- Brain-injury survivors also insist that their injuries are as personal as their fingerprints. Nobody knows the depths of their condition as thoroughly as survivors themselves.
- As specific as our brain injuries are, so should be our course of treatments in our attempts at rehabilitation and recovery. We owe it to ourselves to try all 88 keys!
- What are the THREE keys that work best for you or your patients?
Facts about Brain Injury Awareness
- Brain injuries are more common than people think.
- Brain damage may not be immediately detectable.
- Your head doesn’t have to be hit in order to receive a brain injury.
- A brain injury lawyer can help you get financial compensation.
- There are more than 5.3 million individuals in the United States who are living with a permanent brain injury-related disability. That’s one in every 60 people. At least 2.8 million Americans sustain traumatic brain injuries in the United States every year.
How It Works
How Bison Foundation Works
Operational
Operation is working with people on their paperwork, the bureaucracy of having a brain injury.
Neurological
Neurological refers to expanding the definition of what it means to traumatize the brain.
The Bison Foundation intends to get right two things that are especially difficult to get right:
- The accurate diagnosis of the brain injury or neurological condition.
- The customized treatment plan.
The Bison Braid
In-home health care with three employees: “the Bureaucrat” who handles all incoming and outgoing paperwork, “the Housemaid” who cleans and organizes every room to improve the dignity of the living environment.
Bison Retreat Center
We will bring to bear the best of what we know about healing: healing of the brain, healing of the body, healing of the heart, and healing of the spirit.
